One of our greatest successes is the North Ormesby Community Shop from which all surpluses generated by the sale of donated goods are retained within the community. With the present economic situation we are seeing an increase in the sale of goods and we know that we have an increase in customers through our daily sales. We have registered on Ebay which is seen as a further opportunity to develop more income for the shop. The shop employs three part time local people and offers volunteering opportunities to local residents. Profits from the shop are re-invested in the local community via a Small Grants Fund that we administer. This provides financial support to needy individuals, local voluntary/community groups and local schools based in North Ormesby.
